What is an email Alias (Web Mail)?
An email alias is a special email address that only forwards
mail to another email address. For example, your email address
might be mark@your-domain.com, and you might create an alias
of sales so that email addressed as sales@your-domain.com would
get delivered to your mark's email account.

How can I have all email sent to my domain for a non-existent
email account go to me instead of being returned (Web Mail)?
To complete the setup you will need to add or modify an Alias
named "nobody" and set the "Destination"
to an existing email address.
1. Login to the administrative email account
Add an Alias named "nobody"
a. Select “Alias Administration” from the "Account
Options" dropdown list
b . Click "Add" button if "nobody" is not
already listed in your Aliases list.
c . Follow the instructions on this page to complete the "nobody"
alias setup. Enter an existing email address in "Destination"
text box.
Modify Alias named "nobody"
a. Select “Alias Administration” from the "Account
Options" dropdown list.
b . Select "nobody" from Aliases list and click "Modify"
button.
c . Change "Destination" text box email address to
your preference.

How do I set my perferences to forwarding attachments (Web
Mail)?
1. Login to the account you want to forward attachments.

Do you require outgoing mail (SMTP) authentication with mail
clients?
Yes, if you are going to be setting up and sending your domains
email through a mail client (e.g. Outlook, Outlook Express, etc.)
you will be required to use Outgoing Server (SMTP) authentication.
This is a requirement because third party spammers can illegally
target our mail servers and relay SPAM causing performance issues
and expensive bandwidth usage.

Do you host adult sites?
We do not host adult sites under our web site hosting plans
(virtual server). However, you may host adult sites with a dedicated
server plan.

How do I setup a MySQL Database?
1. Login into your control panel

Do you support CDONTS?
No. CDONTS mail component is not supported.
CDONTS requires the Microsoft SMTP service to be running on
the web server, which makes it an easy target for spammers. Additionally,
performance problems can easily occur which would affect all
client on the server.

Why do I receive the following or a similar Error message when using an include file with ../ ?
Due to a know Microsoft security issue Tango Hositng disables ASP's "parent paths" for websites hosted in our shared environments. Without this setting users can gain access to sensitive parts of our systems including other client’s accounts. This setting is for the protection of all clients.
Applications using relative parent paths in an include statement will result in the following error on an ASP page:
Active Server Pages, ASP 0131
Disallowed Parent Path
Cause:

Solution:
The best solution to the problem is to use absolute virtual paths from the root of your website instead of relative paths.

How do I add additional websites to my current hosting
plan?
With your Windows Power web hosting account you will be able
to add-on up to two more websites to the same account for $3.50
each monthly, prorated to your account renewal date. The new
website(s) will not include mail at the new website domain(s)
(i.e. mark@newWebsite.com). If you wish to add additional websites
to your account please contact Tango
Hosting Sales.
Once you have completed the above. Please follow the steps below
to setup your new website.

How do I add host headers to my Tango Hosting account?

Can I use a Microsoft Access Database with ASP.net?
Short answer no, in a shared hosting environment (Microsoft SQL Server will work), yes, in a dedicated server hosting environment with the current ASP.net 1.1 Framework.
Long answer, in a shared hosting environment ASP.net must be in Medium trust mode, which does not allow connections to Microsoft Access databases, but will allow connections to Microsoft SQL Server database. Without being in this mode users can gain access to sensitive parts of our systems including other client’s accounts. In a dedicated server hosting environment you are free to run ASP.net less restrictive trust modes which will allow connects to Microsoft Access databases.

When do automated backups occur?
Weekly web site backups are every Saturday morning at 2:00 AM
PST and run for about four hours to complete.
Note: All backups replace the previous backup of it’s type. i.e. The weekly web site backup overwrites the weekly backup from the previous week.
It is highly recommend that you keep backups of your files on your local system on a regular basis or when every making changes.
